Welcome!
Caleb here — I'm a Christian (believer in Jesus Christ), native Coloradan, black-coffee-drinker, and lifelong Scout. Also, Sko Buffs and Go Big Red!
You can often find me hanging out with my family, hiking with friends, or going for ambling "micro-adventures" through the places I call home — Thornton, Colorado, situated halfway between the city, mountains and prairie, and waterfall-drenched Ithaca, New York.
My passion for storytelling began at a young age — except that I loved acting in front of the camera! While films, including The Prince of Egypt and The Great Escape, shaped my imagination, my parents supercharged my creative enthusiasm with a childhood chock-full of literature and fantasy.
Then, in middle school, while rummaging through some cabinets, I discovered my parents' tape-based camera and, unwittingly, embarked on an 10+ year adventure into videography and cinematic storytelling. Since that original find, I've been fortunate enough to film weddings and music videos, cover sporting events and concerts, document mountain climbs and an international business trip — ultimately, capturing the magic of lived experience.
I like to think of my videos as an alternate form of time travel. Yes, it's impossible to change the past (I have watched Avengers: Endgame over five times). But just maybe, transporting people back to happiness of their wedding day or allowing them to trek once again in the mud-stained boots of their younger selves can spark inspiration for the future. I know this is true because it happened to me. When I reached my lowest and most needed it, God used a years-later rewatching of one my own videos to come alongside me and meet me where I was at. That is why I love video-based storytelling so much.
At this point, though, you might be wondering...
What does "Intrepid" mean?
"Intrepid" can be defined as the state of being fearless, bold, or unafraid. The word holds a special meaning to me since my name, Caleb — originally derived from Hebrew — is often translated "whole-hearted, faithful, or bold." It's a constant reminder to act authentically, push myself outside of my comfort zone, and to live differently, with no regrets. It's already led me along some incredible adventures and allowed me to document some wonderful moments through the lens of my camera.
That's a bit about me. What's your story? If you're a fellow adventurer, be sure to reach out and let me know how I can help you capture your intrepid life. The moments won't capture themselves.
